DAY 1: Today we journey to the beautiful 1000 Island Region of Ontario. This afternoon we check into the Colonial Resort & Spa in Gananoque. After a welcome punch and orientation of the beautiful resort a delightful dinner awaits us. This evening relax and enjoy the resorts facilities, including heated pool, whirlpool spa, steam room, sauna, indoor serenity garden. Outdoor facilities include a pool, shuffleboard, horseshoes, bocoe ball and much more. Remember your camera.
DAY 2:Your day begins with a hearty breakfast. Then we are off on an escorted breathtaking cruise of the 1000 Islands. You will get to see Boldt Castle shrouded in fall colour as you circle Heart Island. Lunch is on own. We travel the scenic 1000 Islands Parkway to the Skydeck
Tower on Hill Island to view the panorama of the Islands from 400 feet above the mighty St. Lawerence River. Enjoy the back roads to the quaint village of Athens. Fall colour surrounds the back roads and we visit the second oldest stone bridge in Ontario at Lyndhurst. This evening dinner and entertainment awaits us.
DAY 3: Again a hearty breakfast awaits you this morning. We explore the fascinating and beautiful Rideau Canal at Jones Falls Locks. Then on to Smith's Falls via Forfar with a brief stop at the local cheese plant. In Smith's Falls we visit the Rideau Canal Museum. The 170 year history of the Rideau Canal is depicted through displays and multi- media presentations. Lunch is on our own. Now off to Perth and the fascinating and quaint village of Westport with a chance to browse the shops this village is so famous for., We pass lakes and landscapes that truly enhance the fall colours that this region is so famous for. Dinner awaits us again tonight back at the resort.
DAY 4: After breakfast this morning we journey home through colourful Ontario with an early evening arrival home1
